Custom Ratios: Spice Pairings was designed as a fully autonomous, offline culinary companion. That design choice has a direct privacy consequence: there is no server for your information to travel to, and nothing for us to collect even if we wanted to. This policy explains, in plain terms, exactly what that means.
We collect nothing. Custom Ratios does not request your name, email, location, photos, contacts, or any other personal identifier. There is no account to create and no sign-up form anywhere in the app. Your spice cabinet inventory, your custom rub recipes, your cooking history, and your measurement preferences are yours alone and never reach us.
Because no information is collected, none is used, analyzed, profiled, or monetized. We do not build usage statistics, we do not track how often you open the app, and we do not sell, rent, or share anything to advertisers or data brokers — there simply is nothing to hand over.
Everything you enter — your spice inventory, saved blends, custom rub recipes, cooking timelines, and preferences — is stored locally on your own device, inside the app's private storage space. There is no cloud sync, no remote database, and no backup server operated by us. If you delete the app, that locally stored information is removed along with it.
Custom Ratios does not integrate third-party analytics software development kits, advertising networks, or behavioral trackers. The app's spice-pairing calculations, substitution logic, and timeline guidance all run using on-device logic, not external services. Because the app operates 100% offline, it has no mechanism to communicate with outside servers during normal use.
The most effective safeguard we offer is architectural: information that never leaves your device cannot be intercepted, breached, or leaked in transit. Your data is protected by the same operating-system-level security that protects the rest of your device's local storage.
Custom Ratios does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Since the app has no data collection mechanism whatsoever, it contains no pathway through which a child's — or any user's — personal information could be gathered, stored remotely, or shared.
There are no accounts to manage and no remote profile to request deletion of, because none exists. You remain in full control of your spice cabinet entries, custom blends, and saved data at all times through the app's own interface. Uninstalling the app permanently removes all locally stored information from your device.
If our practices ever change, we will update this policy and revise the Effective Date above accordingly. Given the app's offline-first architecture, we do not anticipate introducing data collection, but any future change of that nature would be clearly reflected here before it took effect.
